Centuries-Old Traces of Urban and Demographic Movement

Editor-in-Chief | On Behalf of ICAM Network Editorial Board

Global and/or national disasters, wars, climate changes have been affecting spaces and the behavior of the species that use them for millions of years. Since the times when humanity realized its memory, the projections left to civilization reflect the traces in nature and leave new traces. As such, this cycle and transformation, which is a universal truth, extend to the highest smart energy.

In the last quarter of a century, the awareness of this cycle, the scope, and speed of its influence has been increasing at a relatively high rate, and the collective consciousness in this increase has given birth to new cycle mechanisms, enabling systems, subjects and spaces to be seen and read holistically. Moreover, each new development in civilization illuminates the transition gates and secrets of ancient eras and esoteric civilization.

While chronic tensions are escalating across the Middle East, with a focus on Northeast Africa, the outward traces of the wars there are fundamentally affecting the Anatolian geography at a primary level, and this effect is preparing other major ethnic, geographical, cultural and economic crises. At this point, the social and aesthetic appearance of cities is fading the distinctive colors of the ancient urban identity, and the colors in aesthetic values are unfortunately graying. While this process kills ancient cultural colors, it reveals hundreds of shades of global monocultural, monolingual, monogendered gray. The fact is that hot and cold wars, which until yesterday were fought on the basis of values and religion, are now being declared on purely economic grounds. The enlightened mass of aware intellectuals condemns the world’s standing by as one nation attempts the total annihilation of another nation. Irrational and inhumane measures to rapidly increase the world population in favor of an unskilled population, when many other methods could have been found, will go down in history as a disgrace.
