Editor-in Chief: Glo-Cal Distopya!

GloCal Dystopia!

10 orders (principles) were written in 12 languages on the Georgia Guidestones monument, which was built in 1979 and was last destroyed by bombing on July 6, 2022. These principles were the principles of a one-world state sustainable human life in harmony with nature.

According to classical history, 300 thousand years have passed since Homo sapiens were first seen in the world, but it dates back to 300 thousand BC. We have no clear information other than archaic remains and guesses about what happened until the invention of writing in the 3200s. However, from the invention of writing until the industrial period, our species continued to exist in harmony with nature. With the second industrial revolution, which started with the discovery of the engine and electricity, human beings began to use the environment brutally, the driving force of the capitalist system and electronic and electromagnetic developments destroyed the abandoned and free-used environment both physically and physiochemically, and from those days to today, a DYSTOPIC future has become the main agenda of our species, both globally and locally.

Ultimately, to avoid this dystopian future, humanity has set sustainable development goals, and the United Nations has adopted this as a principle, albeit belatedly. However, what was written in the Georgia Guidestone, which is in the USA and labeled as a monument of evil by people with an inadequate level of awareness, was a warning to prevent this dystopian future from becoming fate.

Today, humanity is immersed in the so-called comfort of the techno-sphere, the development of technology that exceeds the law or faster than the law and does not even want to think about where the artificial intelligence that awaits it in the near future may evolve.  We are greatly concerned about this development, which progresses much faster than the development of law. In this context, it is necessary to demonstrate the necessity and even condemnation of the development of branches of law such as information technology law, space law and environmental law in countries, and moreover, the guarantee of these laws on behalf of humanity by a supranational or one-world government that must be officially established.

To address the issues of concern for the future for our species in a multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary context, our Editorial Board has foreseen a special issue for 2024 with the theme of “Sustainable Human Development and City” within the next six months. We expect all scientific and intellectual people to contribute their works to this special issue. In this context, we kindly request our Special Issue Call to be shared by our readers.
